Ohio Masters Cycling

Ohio Masters Cycling Team is dedicated to Masters competitors in the challenging and rewarding sport of bicycle racing. It will register as a USA Cycling team in January 2008. Its target membership will be male and female racers in the 40+, 50+ and 60+ and 70+ categories. While Masters racers are the target, our membership is open to all ages, and all abilities. You don’t have to be a licensed USCF racer to join.

Working with promoters and organizers, the team will sponsors and support a variety of bicycle races and will be committed to furthering Masters competition at the local, regional and national levels.

We are enthusiastic group of aging folks interested in personal excellence, friendship, competition and blending life and sport as a means of celebrating and sustaining both. Our purpose is to assist and challenge each other to ride our bikes as fast as we can for as long as we can.

Amateur bicycle racing at the Masters level is exciting, highly competitive, and only getting better. . What brings out the finest in the sport of bicycle racing, at whatever level, are the sacrifices and rewards of racing as a team, each racer doing his or her part to achieve victory for one of the group.

Team Goals

•To work together as teammates, not against each other as rivals.
•To be visible and active members of the cycling community.
•To be worthy representatives of the sport of cycling and of our business sponsors.
•To be positive role models for safe, courteous, and responsible behavior on the bicycle, especially
when it comes to sharing our roads with other vehicles.
•To continue to challenge ourselves mentally and physically and to inspire other cyclists, both younger and older, to do the same
